The Loveatarian Ethos
The Loveatarian perspective offers a kinder, more humanistic approach to liberty. Unlike traditional political libertarianism which often focuses on policy battles, Loveatarianism emphasizes the cultural and interpersonal foundations of freedom.
We believe that a truly free society is built not just on the absence of coercion, but on the presence of tolerance, mutual respect, and voluntary cooperation as these prevent the impulse to coerce. It matters because how we treat each other is just as important as the laws we live under.
Consent Over Coercion
Individual consent is the foundation of liberty. A culture of tolerance and respect enables consent, while compulsion destroys information and hurts people.
Free Exchange & Free Travel
We support voluntary cooperation where individuals organize based on mutual agreement, with freedom of movement and association for all.
Cultural Change Over Politics
Politics creates divisiveness. Voluntary solutions start today, while political solutions take cycles. Better communication reduces the need for force.
Rational Skepticism
Government solutions often lack feedback loops. Scaled solutions without testing can persist when harmful.
Pluralism & Human Flourishing
Promoting kindness, tolerance, and forgiveness builds environments where the urge to coerce and compel is replaced by the desire to cooperate and create. War and conflict emerge when these principles break down.
